מסלול עד שבוע בארקיפה ”Colca Canyon“

I would like to recommend a trip of 2-3 days in the area of Colca canyon. You can go to the canyon without a tour, from arequipa you can take a bus at 2 in the morning ,to a little town called yanque. there, there is a little hostal called posada ,that is run by a young couple.you get to the hostel at about 6 in the morning, then you can go to sleep for a while and go with the man of the house ,for a tour (free of charge) of about 3-4 hours in the area, you can see graves of mummies and some ruins, a nice tour that ends in hot springs.the next morning, you get up at about 5, and take the bus to the mirador ,to see the condors.

after seeing and taking photos of the condors ,you can take a walk that is about 2-3 hours to a town called copanaconda, if you don`t want to walk you can wait for a tourist bus to come a ride with him.

 from copanaconda there are 3 options, first one- is to take a bus back to arequipa- about 4-5 hours,second option -is to take a bus to chivay -stay there the night and go to a folk show, the third option- is for the more adventurous travelers, you can go down in to the canyon. the walk down isn`t too easy ,but possible, the harder part is the way up. the way down is about 2 hours . in the canyon there is an oasis with a nice pool and grass and very beautiful view, if you want, .you can sleep in bongalos or in tents on the grass.

the way up is about 4 hours till the town copanaconda, it is recommended to get up early so u can buy tickets for the bus back to arequipa.
