מסלול עד שבוע בטיביליסי ”מסלול טיול בן שבוע בגרוזיה“

שלום לכם, 

אני מצרפת את פירוט המסלול שעשינו בגרוזיה באנגלית, כמו שהתקבל מהסוכן. בעיקרון אין כל כך אפשרות לטייל לגמרי לבד כיון שהם לא מדברים אנגלית וכל השלטים או בגרוזינית או ברוסית כך שאם לא מדברים את השפות האלה קשה להסתדר. אנחנו היינו 3 זוגות ושכרנו רכב עם נהג לשבוע. אני מצרפת את המסלול ואשמח לעזור בכל מה שאפשר.

המסלול:

July 26: Arrival in Tbilisi at 01:50 between the 25-27. Meet at the airport. Transfer to hotel. Morning drive to Mtskheta, the ancient capital, where you can visit Jvari monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Continue to Gori. In Gori visit J.Stalin Museum and then excursion to Uplistsikhe cave town. Drive to Bakuriani. 

 July 27: Today you will have a long day to cover about 400km. You have to start your trip at 8am. Drive to Vardzia. Excursion. Drive to Kutaisi, western part of Georgia. Arrive in Kutaisi. Overnight at a private guesthouse.

 July 28: In the morning you can visit Bagrati Temple, short excursion in Kutaisi and visit the Synagogue. Drive to Gelati Monastery, founded by King David the Builder. Drive to Gudauri at first on the Kutaisi-Tbilisi road and then north along Georgian Military Highway. Arrive Gudauri.

 July 29: Drive to Kazbegi by crossing the Jvari Pass at 2395m on the Main Caucasian Range. Arrive Kazbegi. Visit the area and enjoy the views of Mt.Kazbek (5047m). You can walk up to Gergeti Sameba Church overlooking Kazbegi. Walk down to Kazbegi. On the way back to Gudauri, you can make a short visit to Sno valley (but the car can not go further than 2-3 km because of bad road). Arrive Gudauri. If time permits walk in the area. Dinner and night in the hotel. 

 July 30: Gudauri-Tbilisi. Morning drive to Tbilisi. On the way you can visit Ananuri fortress. Arrive Tbilisi in the afternoon. Free time. 

 July 31:Tbilisi-David Gareja-Tbilisi. Half day excursion to David Gareji, situated 75km south-east from Tbilisi in Gareji ``semi-dester``. You can walk up to Udabno Monastery to see the frescos in the caves. Walk down and visit ``Lavra`` (please, note that first you have to get permission from the monks to enter the Lavra, where the monks live). Return to Tbilisi in the latwe afternoon. Night in Tbilisi.

 August 01: Tbilisi. You spend half day in Tbilisi to see the major sites. Transfer to airport for the flight back home.
