Selva Negra is a huge private coffee plantation that also operates a hotel. They also have in the same location a cloud forest which offers good hiking. You can see there a variety of birds and howler monkeys.

Reaching there: take a bus to Matagalpa and then switch to a bus heading to Jinotega asking to be dropped off at Selva Negra.
