The best hospedaje I`ve stayed in South America - Casa Maria in Huarez. It`s a family house, Maria is the sister of the señora of Casa Jaimes, and she and her family are very nice and helpful. Pablo, Maria`s son-in-law, is a guide for treks, mountain climbing, rock climbing, etc. He knows a lot about everything in the area and can help with information even if you don`t want to hire him.
The house is half a block from Casa Jaimes. There are only 4 rooms so it is more quiet than Casa Jaimes. There are rooms with private bathroom for 10 soles and one room with common bathroom for 7 soles. everything looks new and clean. There is hot water with a water tank so you have hot water and a stong current! :) And you can use the kitchen.
