If u need to spend some time in Sao Paulo, there are several places where u can go, specially for shopping.

the first place is street 25 de Marco, u can get there with metro sao bento or from republica (5 minutes walking). this street is like a big bazar of whatever u want - jewelry,t shirts, fake brasilian soccer shirts, lot of things for the soccer fan and more...things are very very cheap there. this place is full of people during the day.

next to it, there is Republica - street with lot of acts, bazar, cheap stuff....its nice to go there even not for shopping , just to look and to taste the street life. u can get there with metro republica.

Another place, specially for the girls is street Jose Paulino. this street is full of places with dresses, shoes and accessories for women. very very cheap there.

u can also find things in Avenida Paulista but its more expensive there.
