evreybody speaks of Casa de arena as the best place to stay in in ica. IT`S NOT TRUE. there is a small hotel, just on the other side of the street called Barco Motel (you dont need an exact adress, just ask to get to Casa de areana, which is the biggest place around and every taxi driver knows...).
it sits on the lakes shore and has big rooms and privet bathrooms with hot water. it costs about 15 sols per each, which makes it even chipper than other places around. there are no doormitories and the place is quiet and lovely. still it is possible to take the sand bording tour from Casa de areana at the same price and to eat there as well. dont miss out on this place!!
