Getting there - you take the chicken bus from the central bus station at Leon to san isidro and ask to get off at san jacinto - should cost 7 corodba each way.

you get off and on the left side of the road there is a sign welcoming you, and loads of little children running to you and asking to be your guide.

Its a really cool place to visit and really fast. 40 minute drive each way, and you spend about an hour with the little kids in this small crater which mud kinda explodes because of the proximity to he volcano.

anyway, a woman charges you 1 US Dollar at the entrance but i forgot to ask if that includes a payment to my guide so after he chased me when i walked back to the main road to take a bus back, i gave him 4 corodobas more. make sure and ask. also make sure the kids understand only one is your guide.
