”Revash“
המלצה על רוואש - אתר קבורה מתקופת תרבות הצ'צ'פויה
Revash is a burial site of the Chachapoyas culture, located in the middle of a cliff. The Chachapoyas placed their tombs in such places because they are covered and protected from the rain, so the mummies don`t get wet and don`t rot fast. The site includes tomb houses painted in red and white.
How to get there:
Take a combi or auto that goes betweenChachapoyas and Leymebamba and get off in Puente Santo Tomas. From there you can take a taxi for 20 soles to where the trail starts, or walk 6-7 km along the road. There you have to cross a bridge and walk up about 2 hours to the site. The path is clear and there are signs, and you can see the tombs from far, so you don`t need a guide.
