”פוארטו ויארטה“
Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful city with very beautiful beaches. The most beautiful beach is calld Boca De Tomatlan, it is about 15 km south of the city, and you get there by bus that cost 5 pesos. This is where the river Tomatlan goes into the Pacific, and you can also swim in the warm water of the river, and of course in the ocean.
The beach is surrounded on 3 sides by high cliffs and mountains, which makes the place very beautiful. And the best part - no hotels on the beach, only a small vilage, so it is not crowded! There is another beautiful beach a little before Boca, it is called Mismaloya, but there is a big hotel there so it is packed with American tourists.
There is also a nice promenade in the center of Puerto Vallarta along the beach, called the Malecon, there some funny statues along the way which give it a nice touch. The Malecon is most alive when people come to watch the sunset.
The only problem in Puerto Vallarta is the herds of American tourists, and the prices are accordingly... But there are also cheaper parts in the city, and I could find a guest house for 150 pesos a night and a comida corrida (lunch with fixed menu) for 27 pesos in the old town, so it is not that bad.
