”Laguna lachua“

Its a lovely place near Coban (3-4 hours ride in a half road half dirt road). its a park almost un-touristic, within you`ll find a 5km path in the jungle (must walk - no car enterance) which leads you to a beautifull lagun with very good water for swim.

there is a hotel inside near the lagun, with dormitory and kitchen but no electricity.

the park itself (not the hotel) is open daily untill 16:00 because visitors cant walk through the jungle at dark. if you dont plan to stay at the hotel - my recomendation is going to sleep the day before at Playa Grande - a town nearby and at morning catch a pick-up to the lagun (10-20 min). the walking is 5km - about an hour, and you should spend about 2-3 hours swimming and relaxing, and another hour back.

must take water and food - there is no food to buy there (also in the hotel - there is a kitchen but you have to bring your own food) and also unti-mosquitoes is highly recomended.

the price to get in the park is pretty high - Q40, especialy that nothing is included, but the fact the place is not so touristic + the lovely way through the wild jungle to the amazing water makes it worth
