Killington Vermont usually opens by the 1st of November with limited terrain. It realy is going to depend how cold it is. Eastern resort rely heavly on man made snow. I would try to ski in December most of the resorts will be open. Last year the snow condition were excellent in Decmeber, but it is a gamble. Stowe, Vermont and Sunday River, Maine are some of the best resort in the East. I will give a link to them.
