”Getting from Bocas to the city“

The fastest way from Bocas del torro to Panama city is of course by plane, which probably costs between 50$ to 100$. i was told that with an student card you might get a stand by ticket for 30$ so it is worth a check, especially during low season.

without plane, you need to take the taxi boat to almirante (every hour or when full - 3$, from 6am to 6:30pm), and from there take a taxi (which will probably try to charge about 1.5$, we were 2 people and paid 1$ in total) to the not very far bus stop.

for the fastest way, you need to take the first water taxi in order to be at the bus station before 7:30am. that way you can catch the direct bus to panama city (don`t know how much it costs).

Any other way is to catch a 7$ minibus which passes every half an hour to david city (so if you happen to find a taxi to david which will want 7$ you can take it),and there either take a regular 7-8 hour bus to panama city (10.60$), or wait for the night and take the express 6 hour buses at 10.45pm or midnight (15$) - the purple house hostel in david city offers its use of kitchen, free internet, and bathroom facilities for people who wait for the night bus for 3.30$.
