If you make it to Huanchaco, next to Trujillo, go visit CARLOS UCAÑAN ARZOLA, a lovely friendly fisherman (22 years of experience) who will take you out to the sea in his Caballitos (small fishing boats) for one hour or more, give you baits and fish with you. It`s unusual and lovely, and the surf back to shore is amazing. Another way to contact him is through Casa Suiza (talk to Michaol).
