The shortest way to get from Rio de Janeiro to Arraial de Ajuda is to take a bus to a place called Eunapolis, and from there another bus to Arraial de Ajuda. The better known way which is by bus to Puerto Seguro is more lengthy and eventually almost no one does it because in Eunapolis the bus driver advices everybody who want to go to Ajuda that it is better to catch the bus from Eunapolis to Ajuda. Of course they don´t tell it in Rio because they want us to pay more to get to Porto Seguro
