Do not go rafting with ``Holiday Adventures`` Company. they have branches in Pokhara and Kathmando,

Also verify ,that when booking a rafting by any agency , you`ll probably end up with another rafting company , so double check ,who`s the actual operator

Also do not go to the agency opposite to the `Bomerang` restaurant in Pokhara (left one)

Last week ,me and my wife, had a rafting for 2 days on the Sety river. Why to beware of the companies mentioned above ? see below:

1. We were promised a separate boat to carry the heavy luggage, But ended up with 7 persons on a boat, that also carried all the bags ,and cooking equipment ,and food etc. So there was no place to move any where.

2. We were promised a safety kayak , There was one ,but it was with a group of 3 kayakers, that usually were very far from us.

3. Many of the `water tight` bags for the luggage ,had holes.

 4. Two persons got very ill by the food supplied to us , vomited ,and more.

5.There were 3 guides on the raft , too busy chatting between themselves to be friendly to us. Also ,as they trained each others , giving 3 contradicting orders in 2 seconds ,we hit a rock , and a person felt to the water unnecessarily

6. Also ,note that in the second day , there were only 2 hours of rafting ,but you pay for full day . and the transportation is by regular busses ,not company transportation.

7.Cost : the Agency try to make you pay almost double the regular price ,by different excuses , including special safety ,special river ,and so on . Don`t let them bullshit you.

8.Kayaks :we had 3 kayakers ,all complained of paying too much , and getting training which was not enough.

Have a nice trip , the river is nice ,and very easy going.
